My treatment philosophy is that each individual is unique and has ability to naturally bring forth what is needed for self-growth and change; and that often disconnect and disorder occur when the emotional process is buried and there is a resulting separation between mind and body. I view my clients as courageous to confront what has been buried; and work to help them uncover this with a present tense focus that also attends to re-connecting the mind and body. I value coordination with other professionals; and I use methods that I believe will work best with each individual, including integration of cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral and psychodynamic methods.
